Our Mission in Music

​The Nelson County Community Orchestra's mission is to provide high quality, affordable musical experiences for the people of Nelson County and neighboring communities in a welcoming, friendly, supportive, educational environment.

Outreach

It is our hope that this orchestra will become an advocate for  music education in our community, and an inspiration to all who may want to pursue their musical interests.  Contact us with questions or suggestions.

NCCO's special Holiday Concert features guest artist Enzo Abarquez, NCCO's brass plus bassoon chamber ensemble and holiday favorites performed by NCCO. 

Music selections include Joyful Holidays arranged by Jack Bullock with G.F. Handel's Joy to the World, Old Welsh Air's Deck the Halls, F. Gruber's Silent Night, and Jewish Folksong Chanukah, Fantasia on 'Greensleeves' by R. Vaughan Williams, White Christmas by I. Berlin,  The 12 Musical Days of Christmas arranged by Deborah Monday, and Selections from The Polar Express by G. Ballard and A. Silvestri, arranged by Michael Story, plus a sing-a-long to Silent Night.  ​
